Our story
Founded in 2021 by a team of ex-Deloitte and IBM engineers, Nexus Intelligence was built on a simple conviction: enterprise AI should be practical, fast, and measurable. Five years and 300+ deployments later, we remain operator-led and obsessively focused on client outcomes.

What we believe
No fluff. The rules we hire for, build by, and judge ourselves on.
We measure ourselves by client results, not lines of code. If an implementation does not deliver measurable value, we have failed — regardless of technical quality.
We tell clients what their AI can and cannot do before we build it. No overpromising, no vanity metrics, no scope creep disguised as features.
Six weeks to a working deployment is not a target — it is a discipline. Slow AI implementations fail because organisations lose belief before they see results.
Responsible AI is not a marketing position. Every deployment includes bias auditing, human escalation paths and ongoing monitoring. No shortcuts.
We are not a vendor — we are a partner. Our success metrics are written into client contracts, not measured on internal dashboards.
AI models degrade without attention. Every Nexus deployment includes a model maintenance programme because shipping is only the beginning.
AI that works only for certain groups of users is not good AI. We design for accessibility and test across demographic groups as standard.

Our journey
Three ex-Deloitte and IBM engineers founded Nexus Intelligence in Manchester with one conviction: enterprise AI should be fast, practical and measurable.
First commercial deployment completed for a Greater Manchester NHS Trust — AI assistant for 1,200 clinical staff. Live in 7 weeks.
Raised £8M Series A led by Mercia Ventures to accelerate product development and expand the engineering team.
Reached 50 enterprise clients across healthcare, financial services and manufacturing within 18 months of founding.
Achieved ISO 27001 certification — required for NHS and regulated financial services engagements.
Moved to new 12,000 sq ft headquarters at One St Peters Square, Manchester — housing 60 staff across engineering, product and client success.
Passed 150 enterprise clients. Expanded portfolio with Document Intelligence, Fraud Detection AI and Customer Intelligence Platform.
Won the Northern AI Excellence Award at the Digital City Festival.
Raised £22M Series B led by Balderton Capital to fund European expansion and recruit 40 additional engineers.
Opened offices in Dublin and Amsterdam, serving clients across Ireland, the Netherlands and Germany.
Passed 200 enterprise clients. Named to the UK AI 100 list for the second consecutive year.
Achieved SOC 2 Type II attestation — enabling expansion into US-headquartered multinational clients.
Team grew to 85 people across Manchester, Dublin and Amsterdam with 40 ML engineers and data scientists.
Reached 300 enterprise clients. Total client cost savings generated exceeded £340M.
Became a founding partner of the UK AI Safety Institute Enterprise Deployment Working Group.
